Plot: A college student decides to take a sabbatical backpacking through the US.
I’m just going to jump into this one. It’s a film I refer to way too easily because of it’s beautiful message. I think it holds an essence about life that we should always remember, especially in the toughest of times. The times when you don’t want to admit you were wrong. The times when you think you’re going to see someone again, but it ends up being the last time. We think we can go through life alone, but the reality is that you can’t…and the beauty of it is that you don’t have to.
This is a film that I recommend to see when you want your mind to connect to your heart. Everyone and anyone can connect to this film because of it’s ability to tap into the farthest depths of the soul. It’ll probably make you cry to bring some tissues with you.
Sean Penn directed AND wrote the screenplay for it. I’m married to Vince Vaughn’s doppleganger. Emile Hersch is so freakin’ cute 18 year old me would die for him.
You’ll thank me later. You’re welcome.
